It is no secret to anyone that the climate change that the planet is experiencing has generated in recent years a more damaging influence of the sun on our skin. The figures for skin cancer have grown considerably, linked, in most cases, to prolonged exposure to UV rays.

But we cannot shut ourselves up at home all the time and, on the other hand, we need the sun's rays to synthesize vitamin E. So an easy and safe way to protect ourselves from this damage and take advantage of the benefits of nature is to use epidermal sunscreens. . How about I share two natural sunscreen recipes?

Almond and coconut sunscreen

To prepare the almond and coconut sunscreen at home, we are going to gather the following ingredients:
½ cup of almond oil
¼ cup coconut oil
¼ cup beeswax
2 tablespoons zinc oxide
1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil

Now take a large jug and mix the almond oil, coconut oil, beeswax and vitamin E oil well. Then take this preparation to a water bath, you will see that little by little the previous mixture is melting. Shake from time to time so that it becomes homogeneous.
When everything is melted, add the zinc oxide. Shake well and you can reserve your new natural sunscreen.

You can add more beeswax to thicken the cream.
This sunscreen is not 100% waterproof, so you should reapply it if you sweat or get wet.
Keep in the refrigerator.
You must use it before 6 months.

Coconut and Shea Butter Sunscreen

To prepare the coconut and shea butter sunscreen you must have:
¼ cup coconut oil
¼ cup shea butter
¼ cup beeswax
2 tablespoons zinc oxide

In a glass bowl, place the coconut oil and shea butter. Put a saucepan with water on the fire and let it heat up. Then place the bowl in a water bath so that it receives the heat of the boiling water. Once it is melting it is helped with a spatula stirring.
When it has been completely melted and mixed, take it off the heat and add the zinc oxide. With an electric mixer (manual also works) stir the cream until there are no lumps.

Place in a jar and reserve. That same day you will see that the cream adopts a thick constitution. You now have your own regular sunscreen ready, made from natural products.

With these two recipes for natural sunscreens you can protect yourself from the sun's ultraviolet rays, which are more harmful every year, by using products that do not contain toxic substances of synthetic origin and are easy to make. Try it!
